Built on a dolerite outcrop on the Northumberland coast, lies Bamburgh Castle. The site was originally the location of a Celtic fort. However the core of the present castle was built by the Normans. Late medieval British author Thomas Malory identified Bamburgh Castle with Joyous Gard, the mythical castle home of Sir Lancelot in Arthurian legend.

This print is a 7 colour screen print. It is printed on Somerset tub size, a heavyweight 300 gram handmade paper from St Cuthbert's Mill in Somerset. The print is in a limited edition of 15 and signed by the artist.
