Swallows Over the Abbey is inspired by the autobiography of a member of the the Royal Flying Corp, Britain's first military aces of World War 1. The scene sees swallows swooping over the ruins of an abbey. The picture is one of tranquility and hope.


This print is an etching and aquatint drawn on a copper plate. It is printed on Somerset Velvet, an off-white heavyweight 300 gsm handmade paper. The print is isigned and numbered by the artist.
